Thus spoke Zen,
When sleeping, remember that death looms.
When awake, remember that life is short.
Death is so far, yet so close, and ever approaching. It is unknown, therefore we fear; we fear, therefore we are curious; and we are curious, therefore we take risks. We create because of the unknown, our fears, our curiosity and our desire to take risks.
So this is how close death and creation are.
It all started from a picture of a steed - from there started my pursuit of death and creation.

Creating a New Eating Experience by Innovative Tableware with Innovative Food. My Innovative tableware design forms the basis of a new eating and dinning trend in which tableware us as a frame in which food is placed similarly to a work of art. The design aims to integrate food presentation with minimalist style and architectural inspirations. It breaks away from conventional inspirations. It breaks away from conventional two-dimensional food presentation and ventures into new possibilities of 3D structures and 4D time lines.

Stacked
Material: Porcelain
Year: 2006
Stacked mug is a single cup that conveys the impression it would consist of three cups stacked on top of each other. Later the idea of the stacked mug was used to extend the set to a complete range. And the stacked vase is a part of it. High enough to hold flowers it spreads a calming ambient throughout the room and fits into the lifestyle of a young audience that likes to see things from a different angle. The stacked espresso cup is the logical development of the original stacked cup. Providing espresso drinkers the same chic as its forerunner and taking the Italian market in storm.

Entomo Temptation Jar
Material: Bone China
Year: 2009
The shape of Entomo Temptation Jar is strongly influenced by the eighteenth century goblet but presents a lofty knob that wakens associations of insects being stacked on top of each other. The most challenging part is to keep that knob perpendicular to the lid at every moment in order to avoid distortion during the firing. Altogether Entomo Temptation Jar is getting sold as a kind of trophy for collectors and galleries. As the so called temptation jar the goblet is representing a piece of luxurious giftware.

LOVE Knife Stand
Material: ABS
Year: 2007
"Cupid is a naughty boy, with wings, arrow and bow. Cupid shot an arrow into my heart but forgot to shoot to the guy I love. He made me find love and lose love. How can I forget such deep feelings? Maybe a love heart stand can help me to remember it…"
The sweet heart knife stand was just the start of an entire range. The idea is an offspring of dark humour at its best. The stabbed heart symbolizes the cheer and pain of love that everyone in the world knows just too well.
Knife stand structure development The knifes are kept in their positions using magnets.
Ripple Hotel Ware
Material: Bone China
Year: 2010
The project is based on two concepts: On one hand it is meant to combine eastern and western eating culture to a cosmopolitan yet special union that still respects the peculiarities of both worlds. A sophisticated and luxurious high end product for hotels and restaurants is the result. On the other hand the project is inspired by organic flowing shapes such as ocean ripples, drops and waves. These smooth forms are supposed to demonstrate elegance and graceful charm. The combination of the two here described principles allows to break away from conventional food presentations and to venture into new possibilities.

Stacked Flower Pot
Material: Terracotta
Year: 2009
The design for Yorkshire flowerpots is an interesting play with shapes and functions. Some pots are reminiscent of huge cones with rather narrow openings on the top side and flat bottoms while others look more like bowls. Always two belong together. And when one stacks them the shapes suddenly make sense. Together both types form up the typical shape of an antique vase.
Alone for itself or as a team. The “stacked†pots are anything but ordinary.
Mystery Collection
Material: ABS
Year: 2006
For many people death is such a taboo subject. Just like it happened during the making of the murderer hanger I tried to explore the topic in a humorous way with impression and reconsideration. The plastic umbrella stands were fashioned after 3D models and are meanwhile sold worldwide. Each umbrella stand includes a tray to keep the rain water dripping down. Another example for exquisite black humor can be found in the murderer hanger. It is the manifestation of an attempt to make items of daily use livelier and free the user from grey everyday life. The attentive user can see a story about the theft of a bra on the mugs. When placed next to each other the vessels show a red police officer chasing after the thief from one mug to the other. Running from left to right and from right to left. Will the thief ever escape?
